Hailey Park tennis courts to get make over

The tennis courts in Hailey Park, Llandaff North, are to be repaired urgently after local residents and local MP, Jonathan Evans, criticised the state of them.

The courts had their nets removed after they were declared unsafe due to the poor surface and large pot holes.

Local residents contacted Mr. Evans’ office explaining that the courts were frequently used, even in poor weather and at night, and it seemed unfair that other parks in the city received much better treatment.

The Cardiff North MP wrote to the City Parks Department and local councillor demanding action be taken to restore these facilities for local residents to enjoy over the summer months.

Mr. Evans commented: “I hope to see the tennis courts my wife and I enjoyed using over twenty years ago restored to their former glory so all generations may enjoy them once again, especially over the coming holidays.”
